Amy McDonald, a seasoned professional with a unique blend of rural roots and urban expertise, serves as the Managing Partner of Ready Rescue Partners, where she channels her passion for helping people into a dynamic career.
Born into a lineage of Kansas ranchers spanning four generations, Amy learned the core values of hard work and the importance of preparation from an early age. In the unpredictable world of ranching, she discovered that preparing for the worst-case scenario not only mitigates risks but also yields substantial dividends. These principles, deeply ingrained in her upbringing, have shaped her approach to both professional and personal challenges.
Relocating to North Carolina in 1987 marked a significant chapter in Amy’s life. She pursued higher education at Eastern Carolina University, earning a degree in nursing. This educational foundation became the springboard for an illustrious career dedicated to saving lives and promoting health.
Amy’s journey in the medical field led her to a decade-long tenure with Zoll Medical Devices, where she contributed her expertise to the advancement of medical technology. Her role at Zoll not only honed her technical skills but also instilled a keen understanding of the intersection between healthcare and cutting-edge devices.
For the past 24 years, Amy has been a stalwart presence in emergency rooms across North Carolina and the United States. Her frontline experience has endowed her with a unique perspective on the challenges faced by medical professionals in high-stakes situations.
